BAHNO clarification

Unauthorised use of BAHNO name

We have noted with concern the increasing number of conferences operating in a predatory manner and claiming to be operating with the support/cooperation of BAHNO when no such undertaking has been made.

A case in point has been brought to our attention this week in that the organisers of the 3rd International Conference on Otorhinolaryngology to be held in Dubai, UAE on 27th and 28th November 2023 have been claiming, falsely, that BAHNO is involved and supports this event.

This is absolutely untrue.

BAHNO is an inclusive Head and Neck society. As part of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion agenda, we believe conference/education events are vehicles for promoting representative diversity and thereby we are keen to ensure events supported and/or promoted through our social media (including twitter feed and website) are reflective of this ethos. The Dubai conference does not fulfil our requirements and BAHNO has protested strongly to the organisers about the unauthorised use of the BAHNO name.
