This course offers a two-day update on the pertinent theoretical and practical aspects of functional preservation and rehabilitation in patients undergoing treatment for advanced laryngeal cancer. The course focusses on practical tips that may improve postoperative function after total and conservation laryngeal surgery, patient centred decision-making with regard to application of (chemo)radiation-based laryngeal preservation approaches, and voice, swallowing, olfactory and pulmonary rehabilitation/optimization after total laryngectomy.
