BAHNO is the only multi-disciplinary organisation for medical professionals involved in head & neck oncology in the UK.  BAHNO actively supports research and the promotion of good practice in this area. The Annual Scientific Meeting attracts National and International experts and is a highlight of the academic calendar.

BAHNO is a  multi-disciplinary professional organisation that speaks for head and neck cancer patients in the UK. Our members are involved in research to find best treatments for patients and BAHNO supports the Trial for Every Patient initiative. We have a close association with other organisations which enables patients to access information on all areas of their treatment.

BAHNO was formed in 1995 – having previously been known since 1967 as the Association of Head and Neck Oncologists of Great Britain.  Head and Neck Cancer is a complex condition and its treatment involves several different medical specialties  - BAHNO brings Speech and Language Therapists, Dieticians, Radiologists, Pathologists, Specialist Nurses and Surgeons together in a search for better outcomes and prevention.
