What personal data we collect and why we collect it

BAHNO is a membership organisation and, as such, collects the preferred correspondence address of members along with emails and telephone numbers.  Members have agreed to be contacted by BAHNO by applying for membership.  The data is stored securely in our membership system on the BAHNO computer and historic paper applications are in secure storage. Details of the hospital and area of expertise of most members is also recorded.  Members of BAHNO are automatically entitled to membership and benefits of EHNS. A member’s name and email address will be shared with EHNS so that benefits may be applied. EHNS is fully compliant with GDPR.  This data is not shared with other third parties.

Members who pay their annual subscription by Direct Debit also have their bank details in our membership system.  This information is passed on to our service providers as per the information on the mandate form.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you – this is the data you have provided for us.  You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
